Eagles QB Sam Bradford expected to return vs Patriots

Philadelphia’s second-round pick out of Utah will make the first start of his career Sunday when the Eagles travel to New England to take on Tom Brady and the Patriots. Ertz has already been cleared and is practicing this week in preparation for the New England game.

The Philadelphia Eagles gave up 90 points in their last two games, 15 touchdown passes in the last four games and have a 136.0 third-down passer rating in the last four games. In fact, they are still considered the best team in the AFC. “That makes it really tough because they have so many players, so many explosive guys”. Safety Walter Thurmond (hamstring), wide receiver Josh Huff (back) and running back Ryan Mathews (concussion) were all on the sideline.

Bradford said “barring any setbacks”, he will be in the lineup for the Eagles Sunday, according to the report. Murray has only one 100-yard game this season and has not neared the production expected of him this season. The Eagles haven’t capitalized on their chances to reclaim the NFC East lead, or truly even contend for it.

With a banged up receiving corps, expect the Pats to lean on the 250 pound Blount, who has often been very effective as a late-season sledgehammer for the Pats. “I feel much more comfortable out there with what I’m able to do on the field”. I thought he battled and did a good job of being out there. “When I first lined up against Calvin, I was kind of in awe”. The Eagles haven’t been burned by tight ends this season, but Brady knows how to find them.

Brady could also throw to his running backs.

“I’ve been totally committed [to the Eagles] since January 16, 2013, and that hasn’t changed”, said Kelly. And that’s not taking anything away from him. Despite the coach assuring everyone that he has no intentions of leaving, various members of the team have expressed dissatisfaction with how things have gone in 2015.

For the Eagles to have any real shot at winning in Foxboro, they have to do something they haven’t really done much of all year long – they have to stand toe-to-toe with the Patriots, look them in the eye and physically destroy them.

Still, in this week’s meetings, Belichick has been emphasizing Philadelphia’s good plays and downplaying the bad ones.

“I think he stays in there and takes the hit well”, said Graham. We’ve competed against him and I think he does a great job. Every play’s a challenge defensively because of how explosive they are. “When you face these top-notch quarterbacks that are really coordinators on the field, you’ve got to move it around a little bit on them”. But last week’s loss proves the Patriots can be beaten.
