Star Wars attractions opening at Disney World

Overwhelming demand for the movie, the seventh installment in the “Star Wars” saga and the first “Star Wars” movie in a decade, has prompted some Chicago-area ticket holders to post their tickets on the secondary market as theaters continue to add opening-weekend showings.

Star Wars luminary and long-time franchise scribe Lawrence Kasdan claims that Star Wars: Episode VIII will be “so different” compared to J.J. Abrams’ The Force Awakens.

Taking part in a Twitter Q&A session Friday afternoon, Harrison Ford responded to a question about his favorite scene in The Force Awakens with an answer that was either a massive spoiler, or perhaps just a simple mistake when remembering the name of a new character.

Once guests leave the theater, they enter the Launch Bay, which is basically a Star Wars museum replete with to-scale artifacts from all seven movies – both Anakin’s Podracer and Rey’s Speeder vehicles have their own displays. Younger fans of the movie will also be able to go through “Jedi training” and discover if they have what it takes to join the “rebel alliance”.

The most extravagant piece thus far: a gold-and-diamond edition of the movie’s new droid, BB-8.

Heck, even if you couldn’t care less about Star Wars, it’s an impressive feat.
