Manuel Pellegrini still has his eye on potential quadruple
This is bad news for Manchester City however you look at it. Manchester City travel to the Britannia Stadium on Saturday to take on Stoke City and would be without six of their regulars including last season’s highest goalscorer, Sergio Aguero.

The Premier League leaders will be without Yaya Toure, who has joined the club’s lengthy list of injured players.
Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini insists he wants to remain in every competition to fight on all fronts this season.
“If you want to be the most important people in football or one of the most important, you must be able to bring all the best players here”, he told reporters.
City’s No. 1 goalkeeper missed the last two games with a hamstring problem picked up in the Champions League defeat by Juventus.
And Pellegrini has refused to rule out the prospect of leading his side to a clean sweep of all four trophies after a week in which they reached the Capital One Cup semi-finals with victory over Hull. We had Kun [Aguero], Dzeko and Jovetic. ‘Sergio is recovering from his heel – he had pain so it is not easy for him to work, that’s why he delays a little bit more. “It doesn’t matter which names start as we will play the same style”.
“I am not concerned about why we didn’t bring in another player because we have Kelechi, we have Raheem who can also play forward, so no problem”.
“I don’t think that he will be fit for Tuesday, maybe for the next weekend, we” ll see.
‘I think the best way to do it is not to think it but the best way to do it is to be focused on your next game but to be focused on all the competitions but the only way is to be focused on the next game which is Stoke and we not thinking beyond that’.
“I think in this case, the fourth should be Kelechi”.

On December and January importance: “I think December and January are critical months for the Premier League – it’s important to be near the top of the table before the Champions League starts again and you’re playing every few days”, he said. The important thing is to try and play in the same way and that’s what we’re doing. They try to make the shorter passes and try to have more possession. “It will be tough against an important team”.
