Peyton Manning’s return may depend on when cast is removed this week
Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning had the walking cast removed from his left foot on Wednesday and will wear a walking boot for several days before returning to full-time rehab this weekend.

The New England Patriots issued a statement on Tuesday regarding the condition of tight end Rob Gronkowski’s right knee, saying his playing status is week to week after suffering a bone bruise/sprain during Sunday night’s game in Denver.
Osweiler’s play has allowed the Broncos not to rush Manning back, but do they even want him back?
“They were just teeing off on my teammate and I don’t like that, that bothers me”, Anderson said.
On the winning play, Osweiler, who swears he never let a day go by where he didn’t learn a lesson from Manning, diagnosed the defense and checked into a run. “I’m doing what Coach Kubiak asked me to do, and that’s try to get healthy”, Manning said.
The Broncos are scoffing at a report that Brock Osweiler will be their starting quarterback for the rest of the season, saying “no decision has been made”.
The Broncos are 2-0 in Osweiler’s starts, and the Broncos are now able to open up Kubiak’s playbook, with its assortments of bootlegs and play-action passes.
They topped that number in their overtime win against New England, rushing for 179 yards and three touchdowns on a snow Sunday night despite falling behind the previously unbeaten Patriots by two touchdowns.
Kubiak said last week that he was concerned about the hits Osweiler has taken in such a short time. And I think that we try to make sure that we’re not the one that’s pushing or shoving or shoving or trying to move the defender in any way that’s illegal.

Check out the pic – we’re not sure how many other 6’7 rocket-armed 17-year-olds attended Flathead High to give Brock any competition… but hey, they still got it right. Everybody says, ‘Is it better, is it better?’ The answer is I don’t know because I’m not putting any pressure on it. It’s sort of immobilized. “Listen, like I told you guys before, we’re totally committed to getting our quarterback-getting Peyton healthy and getting him back”. I don’t think I’ve ever been so pissed off after a loss. “It just sucks. I’m glad we’re not in a position where we’re – it is always hard to win, especially going on the road against good teams”. That was just one of those situations last week where we didn’t play as well as we would’ve liked to for 60 minutes. And Brock knows that he’s the starting quarterback for this team, this week.
