Trevor Noah Rips ‘Asshole’ Ted Cruz for Post-San Bernardino ‘2nd Amendment
JOHNSTON, Iowa – Ted Cruz strode Friday into a shooting range here, where assault rifles and handguns were displayed on the walls and boxes of ammunition were stacked up for sale, to deliver some tough talk following this week’s massacre in California.

To underscore his point, Noah went on to discuss how many Republicans and Democrats dislike Cruz and his political rhetoric.
“It’s these constitutional rights that keep us safe”, Cruz said. The rally comes just two days after the mass shooting in San Bernardino, Calif., left 14 people dead and 21 injured.
The Texas senator said the focus of the national conversation about the shooting should be on “radical Islamic terrorism”.

“Fourteen people just lost their lives in a shooting, and Ted Cruz’s first thought is, ‘Oh, that reminds me, got to send out my invites to my gun party!'” Noah noted on Thursday’s episode of The Daily Show. “Though it’s irresponsible, it’s no surprise”. Ted Cruz said Friday at a campaign event at CrossRoads Shooting Sports gun shop and range “You don’t stop bad guys by taking away our guns”. The coalition has five co-chairs: Tim Macy, president of Gun Owners of America; Bob Barr, a former USA representative from Georgia; Sgt. Patrick Perkins, president and co-founder of Heroes Hunting; Richard Rogers, a member of the Iowa Firearms Coalition board; and Dave Funk, a GOP activist from Iowa.
