Rooney out of West Ham clash and doubtful for Wolfsburg

Wayne Rooney must wait longer to play his 500th game for Manchester United after being sidelined by an ankle injury that likely will force the striker to miss next week’s crucial Champions League game at Wolfsburg.

The grumbles around the club are increasingly audible, even though United are third in the Premier League, just one point off top.

Complicating things for United is the fact that Van Gaal has been open about his time-table for being manager at the club.

“I have already given the players two days off this week”. That’s it I think. The most important thing for me as a trainer, coach and manager is the chemistry between me and my players and my board.

“I’m happy that when I’m gone, people are saying nice things about me”, he said.

Louis van Gaal has revealed Wayne Rooney will miss Manchester United’s games against West Ham and Wolfsburg with a “nasty” ankle injury.

Rodgers may not have been able to take them all the way back to the front of topflight title races and cup competitions but perhaps his groundwork and focus on more modern concepts played its part in giving Klopp something of a head start.

“It depends on the opponent and the shape of the players, I have to compare”, he said.

“So we are looking [at players for January] but as you know it is not so easy to buy players and in January it is more hard”.

Manchester United star Marco Rojo has dislocated his shoulder ahead of their clash against West Ham United this weekend, according to reports from the Daily Mail.

The midfielder shared the picture above on his personal Instagram account on Friday afternoon and wrote: “Thank you all for voting me player of the month”. And away, in comparison to last season, the figures are also good. “We have to make the scan at the proper time”.

“But, of course, we need to work on our formation to try to score goals and win games”.

“Maybe they want more long balls, more activity in the 18-yard box, yes that is possible”.

Van Gaal walked out on Barcelona in 2000 due to dressing room mutiny with Brazilian stars like Rivaldo, Sonny Anderson and Giovanni. “We are unlucky I have to say”. Gary Neville has the chance to impress at Valencia, and the Daily Mirror’s Robbie Savage thinks a strong spell there could help him become Van Gaal’s replacement.
