Turkey expresses condolences to Russia over death of pilot
The Turkish minister confirmed the positions which they have already voiced.

Ahead of the meeting, Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu stepped up the war of words between Ankara and Moscow, accusing Russian Federation of engaging in tactics reminiscent of the Soviet era.
Davutoglu insisted Turkey did not know the nationality of the plane it downed inside Turkish air space.
On Wednesday Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the Syrian Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) could be used to seal Turkey’s border with both Syria and Iraq.
Since then, relations between North Atlantic Treaty Organisation member Turkey and Russia have deteriorated with the Russian side threatening sanctions.
TANAP envisages the transportation of gas from Azerbaijan’s Shah Deniz field on the Georgian-Turkish border to the western borders of Turkey.
The two countries have been trading accusations since Turkey downed the Russian fighter jet on November 24.

The Gazprom’s project will involve construction of a 910km offshore natural gas pipeline, as well as a 180km onshore pipeline to transport Russia’s gas reserves through the Black Sea to Turkey’s transportation network. He again urged Russian Federation to be open to dialogue so the two countries which had enjoyed warm ties until last week’s incident can resolve the issue diplomatically.
