San Bernardino gunwoman pledged allegiance to ISIS on Facebook
Farhan Khan said his brother-in-law was a devout Muslim, but said his acts were not a religious act.

In an interview with NBC News, Farhan Khan, Saira’s husband, expressed the same anger and confusion over the incident.
The radical group had, before the November 13th terrorist attacks in Paris that left 130 people dead, urged supporters to bring the fight to the streets of the USA and Europe by murdering civilians at random.
While we know that Syed Rizwan Farook, 28, and Tashfeen Malik, 27, were killed in a police standoff a few hours after the initial shooting – and that they left behind a 6-month-old daughter – more details are starting to emerge about their motives.
A day earlier, both Mr Bowditch and President Barack Obama, said investigators had not yet concluded whether the attack was terrorism, work-related violence or else a combination of the two.
Bowdich said no other suspects are in custody, but “it is possible there may be some in the future”.
But, in Washington, FBI Director James Comey disputed that notion.
The couple opened fire at a holiday banquet for Farook’s co-workers before dying in a gunbattle with police.
But the official said the contact was with “people who weren’t significant players on our radar” and dated back some time.
The husband and wife who carried out the California mass shooting showed signs of radicalisation but were not part of a broader network, the Federal Bureau of Investigation says.
FBI Los Angeles Assistant Director in Charge, David Bowdich, made the announcement during a news conference Friday.
“We have also uncovered evidence that these subjects have attempted to destroy their digital fingerprints”, Bowdich said.
The company discovered the Facebook account Thursday. It removed the profile from public view and reported its contents to law enforcement officials.
“These appear to be soft connections”, an official said, meaning they were not frequent contacts. She returned home five or six years ago to study at Bahauddin Zakariya University in Multan to become a pharmacist, they said.
Malik didn’t stay in Saudi Arabia, eventually returning to Pakistan and living in the capital Islamabad, though she returned to Saudi Arabia for visits. Malik wore a burka, which meant Farook’s brothers never saw her face, and she would only sit with women.
CNN’s law enforcement analyst, Harry Houck, said he got “chills” watching members of the media contaminate the home of the San Bernardino killers.
He identified as a Messianic Jew and passionately defended Israel, actively debating about religion in online forums and in person, his friends said.
He says the counterterrorism infrastructure is built on preventing tightly organized attacks directed by a specific group, not detecting people inspired by IS but operating independently. Yet he said it was unclear yet whether the couple had received any sort of instructions from extremist overseas. Some were by phone, some on social media.
It has also emerged Malik praised IS on Facebook as she and her husband began spraying bullets at his colleagues in the county health department. The landlord later asked media to leave.

TheBlaze quickly reached out to San Bernardino’s Sheriff’s office, but the press officer was in shock of what was taking place, telling the TheBlaze he had “no clue” what was happening, despite the events playing out on live television.
