LeBron stunned; 76ers end losing streak
Philadelphia 76ers finally got their first win of the season after beating Los Angeles Lakers the other day. In 14 games this season, Bryant is putting up career-worst shooting numbers on a last-place Lakers team that just lost to the formerly winless Philadelphia 76ers. The Lakers defense has conceded to second-highest points, 107.5 per game this season.

Robert Covington scored 23 points, as the Sixers beat the Lakers 103-91 to win for the first time in 19 National Basketball Association league games this season, and the first time in 29 games dating back to March 25 last season.
“This feels good to finally put it together and play a full 48 (minutes)”, Covington said.
“Obviously this is a relief on many levels, but we’re going to get greedy”, 76ers coach Brett Brown said, via USA Today.
Now on seven-game losing streak, the Lakers will continue a long eight-game road trip facing the Washington Wizards, Atlanta Hawks and Detroit Pistons in their next three games.
D’Angelo Russell and Jahlil Okafor’s first meeting was overshadowed by Bryant’s final return to Philadelphia.
After 20 years playing in the NBA, Kobe Bryant explains why it’s the right time for him to retire.
“I’m not the most emotional person”, Bryant said. “It was really, really special”. “I’ve played against LeBron James twice, you see [Kevin Durant], but when you see Kobe, it’s just a different feel”.
Kobe went 7-for-26 shooting and dropped 20 points for his team. He walked off to a standing ovation and chants of “Kobe!”
The Wizards, who never trailed, scored the first 10 points of the game and went on a 9-0 run to begin the second half in snapping a four-game losing streak.
Sixers: Moses Malone, the late 76ers star selected one of the NBA’s 50 greatest players, was honored at halftime. He waved to the crowd and bowed his head in appreciation as a “Kobe!”
Despite having wishes of a not so formal retirement, those plans were out of the circle when Bryant was brought to the centre court where he was presented a framed No. 24 Lower Merion jersey from Dr. J and his high school coach. A few pushes and shoves between the center and guard brought the Sixers’ JaKarr Sampson and Grant into the mix, garnering a few technical fouls.

Grant had four blocked shots, Noel had nine rebounds, T.J. McConnell had six assists.
