The Broncos, who will play the Chargers on Sunday, have gone 2-0 with Osweiler at quarterback, but coach Gary Kubiak said Manning will be the team’s starter when he’s again able to play.

Manning visited foot and ankle specialist Dr. Robert Anderson last week, when a cast was put on his foot to immobilize it. Manning said doctors wanted to put another cast on his foot Wednesday when he asked if “there was another option”, and he was given the walking boot instead.
There was a report last week that said Manning is planning to play next season, even if it’s for a team other than the Broncos.
Another problem the Patriots faced was with Amendola out on injury, they had to play a rookie punt returner, Harper, who ended up fumbling a punt in the 4th quarter and the Broncos got the ball back at the Patriots’ 36.
Kubiak stuck to his consistent stance that the team will wait until Manning is fully healed to make any decisions about the future of the quarterback position in Denver.
“We’re totally committed to getting our quarterback, getting Peyton healthy, and getting him back and nothing’s changed”, Kubiak said, via ESPN.
On Tuesday morning, Gronkowski voiced his frustration on Twitter with the NFL’s officiating, saying he agreed with a local sports radio station’s suggestion that the league was targeting him on offensive pass interference calls. Currently, Manning has career lows in passing yards and touchdowns through his first nine starts of any season.
Osweiler has efficiently run the offense in both of his starts.
Manning is still working his way back from injury as he wears a walking cast. The Broncos defeated the Patriots 30-24.

“It means we can beat anybody”, linebacker Brandon Marshall said, “because it’s true”. “You can’t help as much as you can when you’re playing on the field, but those are kind of things I’ve been trying to do”.
“Like I said, there’s things that we could have done better”. “… But while I’m not, I try to do whatever I can to help. That’s what he’s doing right now, and the next step will be when that comes off for good”.
