The 4-1 win against West Ham on Sunday was the club’s 12th game in a row without a defeat and served notice of their intention staking a claim on the Champions League places.

A double from Harry Kane, who scored in his fifth consecutive club match, has inspired Tottenham Hotspur to a 4-1 win over London rival West Ham United in the English Premier League.
Both sides have made impressive starts to the season with Mauricio Pochettino’s side going quietly about their business.
“We have a young squad, we need to develop our way to be consistent”. We created some opportunities around there box but we just need a bit more quality.
“Step by step. You don’t know”. “It’s hard to guess today what will happen in four or five months”. Ask many Tottenham fans and they will also tell you that the rest of his game has improved over the summer.
With Andy Carroll in the team the Hammers can’t resist the temptation to knock it long when they have played plenty of good football when they have got the ball down this season.
Kane then missed a wonderful chance to add to the tally when he found himself clean through on goal, only to shank his left-footed finish horribly wide on 39 minutes.
Kane was thrilled with Tottenham’s display as they extended their unbeaten run to 12 league games, having only lost to Manchester United on the opening day.
The Hammers have achieved shock away wins over Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City already this season, but Slaven Bilic’s side were comprehensively beaten at White Hart Lane. West Ham ‘s Manuel Lanzini could only score a late consolation.
Under-21s midfielder Solly March was in the Seagulls team that took a first-minute lead from through former Three Lions forward Bobby Zamora. There’s a lot of things in his head.
“Exactly that”, said the 27-year-old. He has a strong character and in every fight he’s always inside (involved)!
“But he needs to stay calm – the result was 3-0 and he got a yellow card – but he is young and football is about experience to ensure next time he is relaxed”.
“We don’t think too much about the league table, we think about our own form”, said the Belgian defender.

Pochettino was a manic presence on the touchline, even when Spurs were apparently cruising against West Ham. “We have had some good results against Spurs in recent times, but they beat us fair and square here”. As soon as possible, we want to get back to England.
