Klopp insists there is no transfer agreement between Liverpool and Dortmund

The 24-year-old scored his first Premier League goal for Liverpool in their 4-1 away victory at the Etihad Stadium on November 21, and he has come to life under new Reds manager, Jurgen Klopp.

Liverpool attacker Roberto Firmino believes his team will be successful under manager Jurgen Klopp.

With question-marks about Mamadou Sakho’s long-term suitability for Liverpool, Subotic would strengthen Liverpool’s ranks and could become a huge catalyst to push the Reds towards Champions League football.

“We know it is hard, really very hard, to reach the same level, because in one-and-a-half years we lost 10, 11 players, a whole team”. We get on well.

Liverpool have won seven of their last eight matches, including a 6-1 thrashing of Southampton on Wednesday, and their odds to win the Premier League title have tumbled. “There are another 30, 35 games to go this season depending on the cups and I don’t know how long it will take and I don’t think about that”, he said. Sustaining the same level of drive over the course of the season will be tough, but Klopp proved he can get players to give their all for a full campaign during his time at Dortmund.

“He [Coutinho] said the weather here – not just Liverpool but England – was not very good”. The German mentality is really good and it is something that I also have a bit of too.

Klopp is adamant Dortmund players will not be off limits as he looks to bolster the Merseyside club’s roster during the January transfer window.

“I owe him a lot”.

Subotic, meanwhile, has fallen out of favour with Thomas Tuchel, the Dortmund coach, and has played for the club just twice this season.

Liverpool’s purple patch has seen them close the gap to leaders Manchester City to six points, with Klopp revealing he has encouraged his players in order to rebuild their previously forlorn confidence.
