Klitschko wants heavyweight rematch with Fury
Bellator President Scott Coker recently told Sherdog.com that negotiations to bring Fury to the Viacom-owned organization would have become “extremely serious” had he been vanquished by Klitschko. It’s ridiculous. We’re happy to defend it…There’s no way we can take the fight before Klitschko.

The contract for the fight included a clause for a rematch, for which the date and the venue have to be decided.
“This fight will happen and it can happen any time from April-May onwards”.
Unification fights are meaningful at times when the other champion is popular, but I’m not sure that Glazkov has the kind of popularity worldwide for it to be even worth anything for Fury to take that fight if Glazkov can pick up the IBF title. “If it goes to a purse bid, the winning bidder has 90 days to do the fight”, IBF chairman Lindsey Tucker explained to World Boxing News.
Klitschko made his decision to take up a rematch public in a video message on Instagram: “I have a pre-Christmas gift for Tyson Fury and all boxing fans around the world”. “Since January 2012 we’ve had about three weeks’ break”.
However, the former champ won’t back down easily as he immediately wants to cash in his rematch clause and try to recapture his title as soon as possible.
Klitschko believes he drastically under-performed in Dusseldorf and has plenty of scope for improving his performance second time around.
“I’ll be making use of my contractual option for a rematch against Fury. The German people really did show me some love, and I just hope I entertained”.
The IBF confirmed to Boxing News that their heavyweight title will become vacant if Fury faces Klitschko in a rematch, which looks all but confirmed.
If Fury wins the rematch, then he will further add to his reputation, and his options for future fights will be numerous.
In the same interview, Fury also says, “I knew all along I could win the fight”.

“Failure is not an option”, he concluded.
