The Supreme Court of Appeal has found Oscar Pistorius, pictured, guilty of murdering Steenkamp in 2013, throwing out his earlier conviction on the lesser charge of culpable homicide.

Oscar Pistorius has been found guilty of murder. Judge Eric Leach added a new twist to the trial by invalidating Masipa’s original verdict and replaced it with murder.
The NPA told media that his sentence will be handed down at a later date and that no arrest warrant had been issued.
He said during their discussions on the matter, the issue of Pistorius applying for bail arose, but the decision ultimately rested with the judge president.
And the paralympian was released from prison on October 19 this year after serving one year of his five-year term for killing Steenkamp and is now under house arrest. The appeals court imposed a murder verdict and sent the case back to High Court for sentencing.
In an emotional statement, Reeva’s father said: “I am sure that Reeva is up there watching it and now she’s saying “justice was done”.
Pistorius had said he accidentally shot dead Ms Steenkamp after believing there was an intruder in his house.
Mr. Mosetihe said some sections of the public felt that “the first judgment was not justified” and that Oscar was initially supposed to have been convicted for murder. His family said lawyers were studying the latest finding for advice on “options going forward”. However, he grew up playing sports with prosthetics and became a multiple Paralympic champion known as the “Blade Runner” for his carbon-fiber running blades.
Thursday, Leach ruled Pistorius should have foreseen that whoever it was behind his bathroom door would be killed upon his firing a gun though the locked toilet door.
