An officer reassures a group he is leading to safety that he will stand between them and any attacker.
Both suspects, a husband and wife, were killed following a auto chase and gun battle with police a little over a mile away from the scene, hours after the attack.
In the video, the officer tells the group to stay calm and “relax”, as the group shuffle towards a deputy at the end of a hall.
San Bernardino Police confirmed that at least 14 people are dead and 17 people have been injured in the mass shooting in San Bernardino Wednesday.
A new video shows an officer leading a terrified group of people to safety inside the Inland Regional Center after Wednesday’s mass shooting in San Bernarino. They say the two suspects died in a shootout with police. “I’ll take a bullet before you do”.
The video was taped by a woman named Gabi Flores, who works as a Consumer Services Coordinator at the center, which serves developmentally disabled people.
As the people, including a young boy, slowly inch their way forward down a hallway, the tension is palpable and they are heard exchanging words in hushed tones.

“Try to relax”, the law enforcement officer says. It is a true testament to the bravery and sacrifice police officers exhibit every day. “I’ll take a bullet before you do – that’s for damn sure”, the cop tells the crowd.
