“In the course of the investigation, police found a substance that tested positive for cocaine in both Weiland’s room on the tour bus and the area occupied by Black”, police said.

Black, 47, from Studio City, Calif., was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and is being held pending charges, police said in a statement.
Scott Weiland, the magnetic former frontman of the Stone Temple Pilots whose three-decade career in music also included solo albums and a spot in the supergroup Velvet Revolver, has died.
The frontman, who had a history of substance abuse issues, died in his sleep on Thursday (03Dec15), shortly before his group was set to perform in Bloomington, Minnesota.
Police released no additional information on Weiland’s cause of death.
“You were gifted beyond words, Scott”.
The cocaine was found in a small amount near Black’s headquarter and close to where Weiland’s body was discovered in the early morning of Friday, December 4. In 2003, Weiland joined the Velvet Revolver but he quit in 2008, reportedly because of more personal issues. Their tour came to an abrupt stop in Minnesota when Weiland was found dead at their Bloomington tour stop. However, that show had been cancelled more than a week prior due to underwhelming ticket sales. Among that group’s hits was Fall to Pieces.
Weiland, second from left, and the Stone Temple Pilots are shown in a publicity photo for their 2001 release, Shangri-La Dee Da.
“The guy has just been battling addiction and it’s sad to hear that he passed”, Raskob said. However, the exact cause of Weiland’s sudden death has not been announced.
He is survived by his wife Jamie Watchel and two children from his previous marriage to Mary Forsberg.

“I can’t deal with this right now”, she said, sobbing. He was arrested in 1995 for attempting to buy crack cocaine, and again in 1997 for heroin possession.
