The news on Saturday led to some panic in the NCR region, with many people cancelling their weekend plans and staying home.

According to complaint, the attack could be on prominent personalities and in crowded areas.
“The inputs were received by a special cell officer on Tuesday evening”.
“Two of them, identified as Dujana and Ukasha, have been reported to be based in the Kashmir Valley for quite long and are allegedly conspiring to target high profile personalities in Delhi by carrying out “fidayeen” (suicide attacks) or grenade attacks either themselves or through their cadres”, said the police source. Sources say that Dujana, having been recently appointed the Lashkar’s top commander in Kashmir, wants to make a big-bang start by targeting Delhi and the prime minister, whose cordon is considered impossible to penetrate.
The officer, on the condition of anonymity said that the Special Cell unearthed the “terror strike” conspiracy after receiving an intelligence input in November about two suspected LeT operatives infiltrated in Jammu and Kashmir through Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. With terrorists infiltrating in small batches into India through Jammu and Kashmir the IB suspects that a team could land in Delhi and carry out a strike. “All entry and exit points in the capital are also to be manned thoroughly”, a senior police officer said.
The police said the duo was active in southern parts of Kashmir for some time.
Sources said that the LeT plot was exposed after phone calls were intercepted by agencies.

Following this, an FIR was registered at the Special Cell office in Lodhi Colony under Section 120 B (criminal conspiracy) of IPC and relevant sections of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act on December 1 against the two LeT operatives identified as Dujana and Ukasha.
