Clinton urges gun control and respect for Muslim-Americans after California attack
A new Gallup poll revealed that Hillary Clinton’s favorability with Democratic voters has grown by an additional eight point in the last month, but Clinton has one vulnerability that Sanders could exploit as a path to victory. Sanders and O’Malley actively support the climate divestment movement, while Clinton - whose campaign and super PAC accept funding from fracking investors and fossil-fuel industry lobbyists - has not taken a position.

The reason for the gap between Clinton and Sanders? It’s fought town by town, city by city, with candidates investing more resources in some regions than others, looking to rack up votes in one part of the state to compensate for a poor showing elsewhere.
At the New Hampshire Democratic Party’s Jefferson-Jackson dinner, Sanders flatly called the pipeline “a bad idea” and added that it “should be opposed”. LCV has declared Clinton the best despite the fact that she has the weakest, most mixed record on climate and the environment of any of the three candidates. For example, when Democratic voters responding to Quinnipiac’s poll were asked if each candidate cared about the needs and problems of people like them, 84 percent agreed that Clinton did, and 75 percent agreed that Sanders did.
“The process that FERC is employing does not give enough weight to public opinion in the locations where pipelines are going through. 60 percent of voters nationally said she is not, versus 36 percent who said she is”.
“Finally, the “I just got up” email shows that, smack dab in the middle of the Benghazi crisis, Hillary Clinton fell behind and may have not been fully briefed as she began an intense round of phone calls to foreign leaders”.
That’s not good enough for some in the neon shirt crowd at NH Pipeline Awareness.
“The survey demonstrated Sanders’ remarkable strength as a general election candidate based on his enormous popularity among young voters, his standing as the most trusted candidate and his strength with independents”, Sanders’ campaign manager Jeff Weaver said in a statement.
“It was Sanders that actually took the bull by the horns”.
“I would urgently request that responsible gun owners stand up to the irresponsible, unconscionable actions of the gun lobby”, she said.
“I am exhausted of hearing about shootings”, she said.
“There was some small interaction with her campaign but it was sort of ‘talk to the hand, ‘” Benincaso told BuzzFeed News.
House Republicans, including Speaker Paul Ryan, have said they do not plan to aggressively pursue new gun legislation. Law is another activist with the NH Pipeline Awareness group, and praised Clinton for her promise to reform the FERC. “59 percent of voters nationally said he is not, versus 35 percent who said he is”. It’s far too early in this primary for the nation’s most powerful environmental political organization to endorse.

“We’ve seen women in our armed forces prove their heroism”, said Clinton. The Republicans have scheduled twice as many debates as the Democrats, have five times as many candidates, and their fossil-fueled super PACs have 10 times as much cash.
