In a report by Michael Marot of the Associated Press, the National Basketball Association (NBA) star is set to make an appearance in the Philippines next week as part of his ambassadorial duties with global sports brand Nike.

This year George will be skipping camp, as he looks out for his overall health and not try to overdo it.

For the record, George did suffer a calf strain during the Pacers last game and it seems that he is still trying to recover from that added injury.

It will be the second time George visits the Philippines.

Eleven months after the injury ruined his season and derailed the Pacers’ title hopes, George has moved on.

“”I’m the one that’s been here the longest”, said George”.

The Indiana Pacers are a going to be a very different looking team this season compared to the last few. I think it opens George Hill’s game up, it opens my game up, it definitely opens C.J. The last thing I’ll do is let that keep me from making the dream happen.

The thinking behind giving George minutes at the four is that other power forwards won’t be able to guard him, but there are a lot of questions about whether he should be put in that position.

“I feel great. I still notice some things that are not Paul George characteristic yet, but I feel good and the good thing is we’re still in mid-summer”.

>> He liked the Pacers’ commitment to a faster tempo, acquisition of Monta Ellis and re-signing of Rodney Stuckey.

>> He had spoken to former teammates David West and Roy Hibbert, who are now with the San Antonio Spurs and Los Angeles Lakers, respectively.

“They’ve just told me to be ready when my name is called”, said Turner, who was working the camp with George and Young. 1 and 3 scorers in the league, respectively. Because of the changes that have taken place to the roster, the team might have to use different lineup combinations, one of which would involve Paul George playing power forward, according to CBSSports.com.

“We needed to get better at pushing the tempo”, George said.
