Warriors Are Now 20-0

Curry’s explosion came over the final 7:26 of the third. He also set the NCAA record in three-point field goals made in a single season. At least three of the 3-pointers were 30-footers.

The reigning MVP sat out the entire fourth quarter due to the big lead.

“When you get on a streak like that, it’s fun”, he said. “You try to make him work hard, but I don’t think we’ve seen anybody shoot like him – that’s pretty impressive”.

“The shots that I take – I say this all the time – are the ones I practice, ones I’ve taken plenty of times”, Curry said after Wednesday’s win.

On the season, the Golden State Warriors average 115.3 points, 46.0 rebounds and 29.4 assists per game. Green struggled offensively, scoring just 4 points with 5 turnovers, but he finished with 11 boards and 9 dimes.

C OFFENSE: They shot poorly from both the field and 3-point range, as they adjust to playing without injured center Al Jefferson’s post presence. Point guard Kemba Walker was held to four points on 2-for-16 shooting.

Nicolas Batum led Charlotte (10-8) with 17 points, eight rebounds, three steals and two blocks. Dell had a velvet shooting stroke that was launched quickly, and luckily for the Warriors, he usually toted along Steph and obviously left a lasting basketball impression.

Keeping the interview on a light tone, Curry was half-joking in his tone, the Warriors superstar did use his team as a justification for why the Panthers could go 19-0, including the playoffs, in 2015. “They’ve been great for a while now”.

Golden State has been so dominant this year that many of their starters haven’t even played late in games because of large leads.

Hornets: Charlotte officially signed coach Steve Clifford to a multiyear contract extension. Terms were not disclosed….

The Warriors had a scare on Friday when starter Harrison Barnes rolled his ankle and left the contest against the Phoenix Suns.

Other than that, Game and Win No. 20 was pretty much like the others, with the Warriors taking control, pulling away and making folks wonder when this thrill ride will end. Their season-opening winning streak matched the longest in history out of the four North American team sports. The Hornets wore their alternate black, short-sleeve jerseys for the first time. The Hornets were closing out a seven-game home stand. They had won five of their first six during the home stand…. The second is Ray Allen, who had that number in 31 games.
