Israeli soldier stabbed in Hebron, attackers killed: army
Two months have passed since the beginning of what some are calling a new Palestinian “Intifada” (uprising) in the Israeli-occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem, a series of events that have left at least 109 Palestinians dead and thousands injured.

Earlier in the day, two Palestinians attacked a soldier with knives in the city of Hebron, also in the West Bank, wounding him before Israeli troops shot and killed them, the military said.
Israel is still trying to gather evidence against far-right Jews arrested for a lethal arson attack in July on a Palestinian home in the occupied West Bank, the public security minister said on Friday, playing down prospects of an imminent trial.
Israeli medical sources said that the soldier, not yet named, was suffering from moderate to serious wounds in his upper body.
More than half of the Palestinians have been alleged assailants, and others have been shot dead by Israeli security forces during clashes. “In response to the threat, forces fired at the attackers, resulting in their deaths”. Two Palestinians were shot dead.
The incident took place near the village of Kfar Abud, between Ramallah and Nablus in the northern West Bank.
According to the Israeli army, Palestinians allegedly carried out 82 stabbing attacks, 30 shooting attacks and 12 auto attacks against Israelis since September 13.
It is the latest in a wave of attacks, mainly stabbings, by Palestinians on Israelis since the start of October.
Nineteen Israelis mainly attackers, and over 100 Palestinians, have now been killed amid spiralling unrest.
Unusually, two Palestinians were wounded by tank fire after entering the no-go zone close to the border fence east of the city of Khan Yunes.

Israel says Palestinian incitement has fuelled the attacks.
