Jurgen Klopp’s impact since arriving as manager of Liverpool has been nothing short of miraculous.
Borussia Dortmund certainly don’t seem to be doing anything to stop the incessant rumours linking its star players with moves to Liverpool to reunite with former boss Jurgen Klopp. “He would contact us before (he contacts the player)”.
Under new manager Thomas Tuchel, a few players, such as centre-back Neven Subotic and right-back Lukasz Piszczek, have dropped down the pecking order, but Dortmund have so far not commented on possible transfers during the upcoming window.
“One thing is clear, we at BVB have a very good relationship with Jurgen”, he told Die Welt.
However, in the build-up to today’s game with Swansea, the German said: “I have no agreement with Borussia Dortmund”.
“I heard that too, that there was one – these sorts of things are always written at the time but, no, it’s absolutely not true”.
Klopp said he had been busy planning which players he wants to bring to Anfield: “I am here at the training ground from morning to night… we talk about players and make sure we are prepared for the moment when we need to be ready”.

The situation led to Hummels imposing a ban on speaking to the media, but he now accepts that made the situation worse, adding: “When I consciously said nothing it became less objective. We have been through too much together”.
