Top India, Pakistan security officials hold talks in Bangkok
“Good to see India and Pakistan resume the dialogue process”, Abdullah said, commenting on the meeting on Sunday in Bangkok between the national security advisers of the two countries.

The meeting, which also included the nations’ foreign secretaries, marks a thaw in the recent frostiness that had crept into bilateral relations.
The Paris pull-aside meeting between the leaders of the two countries came just a couple of days after Nawaz Sharif said in Malta that Islamabad was ready for talks with New Delhi without preconditions.
The LoC divides Jammu and Kashmir between India and Pakistan.
“Discussions covered peace and security, terrorism, Jammu and Kashmir, and others including tranquility over the Line of Control”, the statement said, adding that the talks were held in a “candid, cordial and constructive atmosphere.” read a joint statement issued after meeting. Omar noted the meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Pakistan counterpart Nawaz Sharif in Paris recently was more than courtesy meeting.

“Both the leaders appeared to be in a friendly mood and there seemed to be great warmth during their interaction”. However, Nawaz would not say what exactly was discussed in the meeting.
