Eagles QB Bradford probable, RB Mathews ruled out

How would the Eagles defense feel about itself if it performed well against Tom Brady this weekend? How the mighty have fallen, right?

Eagles quarterback Sam Bradford (left shoulder) is probable for Sunday’s game against the Patriots, while left tackle Jason Peters (back, ankle) and defensive end Cedric Thornton (ankle) are questionable. They can do this. “Coach Kelly said (after the loss), ‘Look, I know what people are saying, but I’m here for you guys, I wanna be here for for you and I want to make this work because I believe in you guys'”. “The mistakes snowball, and the points snowball, and then you find yourself in a big hole”. It would seem to make sense, then, that whoever Rowe is guarding will get the ball thrown his way.

Graham went to great lengths to explain why that’s not easy. That would put them in the bottom half of the league – a major departure from two weeks ago, when the defense kept opponents to fewer than 20 points per game. The Eagles desperate need for a running game to balance their Up-Tempo Offense is nearly bound to show so we’re predicting that DeMarco Murray will have 23 or more rushing attempts.the most he would have had in a single game this season and in turn rush for 90 yards and a touchdown.

Tom Brady and Josh McDaniels must get creative with key players sidelined in week thirteen. The Eagles can draw confidence from their victory over the Jets.

Meanwhile, the Eagles are still struggling to get back on track as they were once at. Injuries have been the norm for Mathews throughout his career, and the Eagles’ run game has not been the same this season when they have been without him.

Do Kelly’s Eagles stand a chance against these Patriots, depleted as they are? Bradford will start Sunday barring a setback.

After all, it was Kelly who recruited quarterback Marcus Mariota to the University of OR and set him on a path that eventually earned Mariota the 2014 Heisman Trophy and brought him to Tennessee as the second overall pick in the 2015 National Football League draft.

Gronkowski’s unavailability is not a surprise after he suffered a knee injury in last Sunday’s contest against the Denver Broncos.

Kelly acknowledged the personnel losses with a caveat.

“Did they lose Brady?” Kelly said. “Because I think that would truly affect them”. Graham, DeMeco Ryans and Mychal Kendricks better be ready. So this week, you can’t just play 45 good minutes or 30 good minutes. “He does play that matchup game”. “We’re going into Week 12, Week 13 and we still have an opportunity to do that”. He needs to win a few more games.

Well, that’s Brady’s goal this week against the Philadelphia Eagles.

As noted by Dave Zangaro of CSNPhilly.com, Peters has had to leave three of the last five games early with injuries, and was inactive the other two. Late in the game Mark Sanchez threw an interception in the end zone with the Birds in position to at least kick a field goal.

Wide receiver Danny Amendola could be back, but tight end Rob Gronkowski is likely to miss the game with a bruised knee, Julian Edelman is still recovering from a broken foot and Dion Lewis is out with a torn ACL.

“In college, you have control of who you get, you have control of your whole situation football-wise – your recruiting, your travel, everything”, explained Dennis Erickson, who won two national championships in college but flopped with two NFL teams. Brandon Graham is going to bring a little extra this week.

“We’ve got to try to outsmart Brady”, Rowe said. “I don’t care who’s not playing”.

The flip side of that is Bill Belichick, who can overhaul the Patriots’ game plan between series, if necessary.
