Police fatally shoot Miami Beach robbery suspect amid Art Basel
The unidentified victim was transported to a local hospital, with a police spokesperson stating her injuries were not life threatening.

Clerks at the bank’s Alton Road location triggered a silent alarm after a suspect passed a note to a teller that said he was armed with a bomb.
Hundreds of passengers were evacuated from a Norwegian Cruise Line ship docked in PortMiami after, police said, one guest disobeyed boarding rules. “He was challenged by the officers in the street and at some point, during that confrontation, he did raise his hand with a straight edge razor in it, and he was shot”.
He said an officer then fired a Taser at the man before the gunshots.
While the Miami Beach Police did not specify who fired the shots, the shooting was caught on video, which appears to show a police officer firing at the suspect.
Miami Beach Police later released a photo of the razor that the suspect had in his hand.

An alleged video of the incident has circulated widely on social media, though it remains unconfirmed by police officials.
“It’s a disgusting, it’s an isolated incident and it’s tragic for everybody involved”, Miami Beach Mayor Philip Levine said.
A careful viewing of the video doesn’t prove or disprove if the man had a straight razor.
Authorities packed the stretch of Alton Road between 15th and 16th streets, closing down all traffic for hours as multiple agencies investigated.
Johnson said the man was yelling at the officers and making gestures at them.
Dsoto said she saw the man with the weapon. I just want my coffee with 3 creams and 3 sugars.
“He was gesturing for them to like come at him”, Stephanie Dsoto said.
“It went boom-boom, twice”, Rodriguez said, adding that she didn’t see a Taser go off.

“I looked to my left and there was a guy inside of the barbershop… and he was banging on the window with a sharp object, maybe a knife or so”, Johnson said.
