Vonn wins second gold at Lake Louise
The highlights (and lowlights) since 2012 include finalizing her divorce from Thomas Vonn, dating Tiger Woods, tearing up her right knee (twice), sitting out the 2014 Sochi Olympics splitting up with Woods and becoming the most decorated female skier of all-time by breaking the record of 62 World Cup victories held for decades by Austrian Annemarie Moser-Proll.

Reigning downhill and Super-G World Cup champion Vonn has had a magical run at Lake Louise since taking her first World Cup win there in 2004.
Vonn has won the overall World Cup title four times, most recently in 2012.
“I have to come with everything I have every day”. I don’t take it for granted that I’m successful here.
The American star finished in 1 minute, 50.5 seconds. Suter was 1.05 seconds back of Vonn.
Larisa Yurkiw of Owen Sound, Ont., was 12th.
“A bit mediocre for me today”, the 27-year-old said. “It was a goal of mind to be on the podium”.
“I feel like I’m pretty confident right now. I just kind of have to keep my chin up and know that was positive”. With 68 career World Cup victories, Vonn is the winningest woman of all time.
“Just because I’m older doesn’t mean I’ve lost any desire to continue to win and to continue to ski fast”. “Lake Louise has proven again it’s my favourite place on the tour and I’m leaving here with a lot of confidence”.
The women race super-G on Sunday.
Vonn was certainly impressed with Shiffrin’s performance. “I think I could still be better, but I’m happy with where I am”.
A Vonn double at Lake Louise. The 20-year-old technical standout has won 16 slalom races and one giant slalom in her stellar career so far.
“It was a big deal”, Vonn said. “My skis were really fast”.
“It’s just astounding to me how good of an understanding she has of the terrain, above everybody else and knowing exactly when to let her skis go”, Shiffrin said.
Despite overnight snow, course workers managed to maintain a fast track Saturday.
LAKE LOUISE, Alberta (AP) – Another race at Lake Louise and yet another win for Lindsey Vonn. “I should probably not do that tomorrow”. “You’ve skied it before, you believe in what you’re doing and you don’t get afraid”.
