Seahawks fly past Vikings 38-7 for 3rd straight victory
Their pass game has been impressive too as they are just allowing 223 yards per game to opposing quarterbacks.

Seattle is starting to look more and more like a potential playoff team.
Instead of winning, the Vikings were flattened by a score of 30-16.
Peterson figured he would be marginalized in the second half after the Vikings fell behind 21-0. “I think we had them in second-and-11, second-and-10 a lot today and then they’d get a 9-yard slant”. Is the time that Bridgewater needs or is it the time that he takes to pass the ball? The Vikings will need another solid performance from their grizzled vet in Peterson this week, if they hope to take the win home.
Today’s Cincinnati Bengals vs Cleveland Browns NFL football game has a start time schedule of 1:00pm eastern time and airs on TV channel FOX in some markets along with DirecTV Sunday Ticket nationwide.
To put it mildly, the Vikings were able to do none of those things.
Blaine Gabbert’s 71-yard touchdown pass to Torrey Smith after 2:10 of overtime gave the San Francisco 49ers an improbable 26-20 victory over the Chicago Bears. Peterson leads the National Football League in carries and rushing yards heading into week 13. But 31 yards rushing for a rush-first team won’t cut it in December.
92 — Brandon Mebane, NT, (6-1, 311, ninth season): If the Vikings run as much as expected, he and Ahtyba Rubin must consume blockers and running lanes to force Peterson to Wagner. They failed on both accounts. Bad positioning, poor tackling and even a lack of fire were all contributory. The Seahawks have been susceptible at times this season to the pass, but they have been ruthless against the run and were once again.
According to Derek Wetmore of 1500ESPN.com, the former Oklahoma Sooner said the Seahawks were “more aggressive, played more physical and they outcoached us as well”.
The Seahawks (7-5) were dominant in claiming their third win in a row on Sunday, winning on the road 38-7 over the Minnesota Vikings.
The Seahawks will be missing their best offensive player, Jimmy Graham, and that will be a big to them as they continue to fight back looking for a Playoff spot.
There is plenty of blame to go around in such an overwhelming defeat.
At SeattlePI.com over the weekend, I wrote a column wondering if it’s time to retire “The Legion of Boom” nickname due to their problems against the Steelers and fourth-quarter issues in previous games.
This game could come down to a single play in either direction and I see very little between two extremely good outfits that may well meet somewhere down the line next month. This shows that the team goes as A.P. goes. And the offense has the largest strides to make. His status for Thursday against the Arizona Cardinals is uncertain.
Antone Exum, Jr., picked up where he left off last week, when he grabbed an important fumble in the Falcons game. Unfortunately, that is where his big play ability ended.
Seattle have now won two consecutive wins to try and mask their slow start to the season so far. He was unable to make any plays down the field. The Packers and Seahawks outscored Minnesota a combined 68-20, with Cordarrelle Patterson’s 101-yard kickoff return in the third quarter the Vikings’ only score on Sunday. Should he be pleased?
His return gave him 5 fewer return yards than the Vikings had in total offense through 3½ quarters. The Vikings came in as a hot team.
Russell Wilson has taken his game to another level as of late as he has thrown for eight touchdowns over the past two games and has had a QBR of over 90, which puts him in some pretty elite territory.
The Vikings continued a troubling trend on Sunday. Francis is more of a run-stopper, which could be useful against Adrian Peterson this week. So let’s go this way instead.
The Vikings’ stat sheet is incredibly ugly, as you’d expect.
