Emotional Lauren Murray voted off X Factor

The blonde teen, who has never been in the bottom two, received a standing ovation for the song after which Cheryl told her: ‘Now you’re just showing off.

Lauren Murray fought back after being in the bottom two last week, choosing to sing Jess Glynne’s Take Me Home for her first song, followed by Naughty Boy featuring Beyoncé’s Runnin’.

Simon complimented Lauren’s voice but told her that she needed to “hold yourself together for your next song” with Nick agreeing.

Anton said: “Secretly I want Reggie “N” Bollie to win because I think everyone else is serious and talented and you know that they are going to do very well in their life but Reggie “N” Bollie have this special thing of changing the mood in the room”. However, Murray’s tearful performance wasn’t enough to keep her in the competition.

With the judges’ votes in a deadlock, the contestant with the fewest number of votes from the public had to be eliminated.

That isn’t verbatim but the gist of the comment – by intimation – was that (or so it seemed to me at any rate) had Lauren not been Rita’s act, then Rita would have saved Ché and sent Lauren home. “Lauren, it’s so heart-breaking to see you so emotional at this stage and it’s only going to get tougher”, she said.

The 63-year-old Mayo native reportedly met with music mogul and head judge Simon Cowell last week to map out his epic return to the music competition.

The aspiring singer was extremely upset over her elimination and was unable to appear in the competition’s spin off show “The Xtra Factor”, Telegraph reported.

On the announcement that she was voted off the show, Lauren said: “Thanks for everyone that believed in me, to Rita, and all the people backstage that have made it easier for me”.

“She’s literally just so upset”, Ora shared. Sharon’s fun and I love Nicole Scherzinger.

The “X Factor UK” finals will air on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 12-13, in the UK on ITV.
