Full Throttle is getting a remaster too
It’s not quite Sons of Anarchy: The Game, but it’s one of the most fondly remembered LucasArts adventures, featuring the trademark humor and splashes of color that marked Schafer’s early, pre-Double Fine career. Full Throttle was the first game where Tim Schafer was the lead designer. At the same Time, Double Fine announced that it was going to remaster another of my favourite LucasArts adventures: Full Throttle.

It too features all new, hand-drawn, high resolution artwork, with remastered audio, music, and sound effects. A combination of the new audio, visual and gameplay elements can be matched together with the originals when playing the story.

A concept art browser will be included along with a commentary track featuring the game’s original creators Tim Schafer, Dave Grossman, Larry Ahern, Peter Chan, Peter McConnell, and Clint Bajakian. After comparing what the studio has made with Day of the Tentacle Remastered with what it would require to do to bolster Psychonauts, Schafer admitted “I guess I’m just complaining about how hard it would be”. “They’re all different”, he said further, “And Psychonauts would involve a lot of remodeling”. It’s a spin-off that takes place before the events in the sequel, which Schafer revealed during the PlayStation Experience conference.
