Police in Rochester, N.Y., said the University of Rochester students were last seen near the university around 2 a.m. Saturday.
Four suspects were taken into custody in or near the house. They will probably face kidnapping and assault charges, and more arrests may be made. One of the students had been shot in the leg before the rescue.
The investigation is ongoing, and more arrests are possible, police said.
The University of Rochester released a statement, “University officials together with the Rochester Police Department are pleased to declare that the two University students reported missing have been discovered and are safe”. Ciminelli also said there is no general threat to the school or its students.

University President Joel Seligman told NBC News authorities had “a collective sense of relief”, after being able to successfully rescue the pair, adding: “This could have turned out in a very different way”.
