Anthony Joshua believes Tyson Fury bout “will happen”

“I want that fight to happen as soon as possible”, the man known as the “Bronze Bomber” – in reference to his 2008 Olympic medal – told the BBC.

Klitschko hadn’t been beaten in almost 10 years before he was outsmarted by Fury and lost his WBA, IBF and WBO belts in a unanimous decision. “Wlad was right up there in history and I just beat him”. And Fury will now be under the spotlight at every turn.

– Although born in Manchester, England, is of Irish Traveller heritage. Commenting on being under fire after his incendiary remarks, he offered this: “If people don’t like it, change the channel”. I’ll be dictated to by nobody.

“I’m just really happy that it’s not a dream and that it did really happen”. Can anyone imagine “Smokin” Joe Frazier or Evander Holyfield relinquishing their title to Tyson Fury with such little resistance or fight?

Prior to the bout I couldn’t pick Fury to win, but I felt he was a live underdog because of his awkwardness and the fact that Wladimir was aging in dog-years.

Most revealing, though, were more details from fight week in Germany. I’m not giving him a payday. “I am what I am”, added Fury.

Klitschko did look concerned early in the fight and that is because Fury was refusing to do what so many have done in so many of his world title fights and relent. However, when they each took their deluded plans inside the ropes they often fought disgracefully and crumbled in Klitschko’s presence.

The Telegraph reported that during Friday’s weigh-in, Fury was baffled that the scales the orgnisers provided had him at 17st 8lbs (112 kgs). When he returned to his hotel that weight was confirmed. “I went home dehydrated because I was so frightened of being tested and failing the test because they’ve given me something”.

“Give him a bow, because you’ll never see it again ever”.

All that was said when he was largely unknown outside boxing circles. He’s heavyweight champion of the world, something that I’m destined to do myself.

There is a rematch clause in the contract with the Ukrainian great, 39, having until January to decide on his own future.

And Haye believes Fury’s reluctance to step into the ring stems from a fear of being beaten. We’ve got to have a sit down with my team, with me going into a singing career. That’s saying something, isn’t it? Because Hughie is my first cousin.

I don’t know if Joshua is going to be able to handle Whyte in their fight on December 12th.
