Turnovers key as Eagles stun Patriots
The 36-yard pass play from Danny Amendola to Tom Brady in the third quarter was the first pass of his career. Brady was clearly not on the same page as his ever-changing group of receiver for far too many plays.

Mind you, for a time, it didn’t appear that way. This week’s blunders were much more egregious and they have no beef with the boys in stripes this time.
Now it’s the Patriots on a losing streak – their first back-to-back regular-season losses since 2012. It cut the deficit to 14-7 with 4:04 left in the first half.
They hadn’t beaten the Patriots since December 1999.
The letdowns had only just begun.
CHIEFS 34, RAIDERS 20 (at Oakland, Calif.) – The Chiefs’ Jeremy Maclin had two touchdowns catches after fourth-quarter interceptions and Tyvon Branch returned a third interception from Derek Carr for the game-clinching score.
Sproles ran a punt back 83 yards for a score.
Yes, all those “for a touchdowns” happened in one game.
The Eagles just stole this one, and it’s certainly going to go a long ways towards easing the concerns of Eagles fans everywhere.
Thanks to a successful onside kick and some Tom Terrific heroics, the Patriots were able to get back in it, but their comeback came up short.
Lavonte David sealed the fourth win in six games for the Bucs (6-6), intercepting Matt Ryan’s pass intended for Julio Jones on Atlanta’s final possession.
And it’s a valid point.
It doesn’t make pigs fly, but, you may want to keep an eye on the sky just in case.
And that’s where the injuries come in. It was Brady’s third red zone interception of the season and a very costly one. WR Jonathan Krause, who was on the Patriots’ practice squad last season, made one catch for 4 yards in his National Football League debut.
The man who wanted to buy the Patriots now resorts to not being embarrassed by them.
Philadelphia the scored the next 35 points before New England could respond. Patriots receiver Danny Amendola actually gets the inside step on his coverage, but there is a safety cheating up in the middle of the field that Brady either doesn’t see, or ignores.
He was not alone in that regard.
That’s how bad it’s gotten. A ton. Sproles and Kenjon Barner were more effective running the ball against the Patriots, and surprisingly, Kelly – or was it Duce Staley – kept Sproles and Barner involved in the running game at the expense of Murray, the big-money free agent who’s been so ineffective this year.
Kelly admitted that his side have not been playing at the level they aspire to in recent weeks but insisted that his players must now start to realise how good they are. This stat line would be concerning for any other legit starting quarterback in a big game, but for Bradford it’s seen as a big win.
“I don’t think anything surprises you with the Patriots”, receiver Jordan Matthews said.
But after the touchdown, the Patriots did not kick the ball the length of the field. But it was hardly the well-oiled offensive machine we saw earlier this season.
Tom Brady plays Quarterback right?
Brady, to his credit, stood on his head again.
TAMPA, Fla. – Jameis Winston threw a 6-yard touchdown pass to Mike Evans with 1:39 remaining to give Tampa Bay a victory over Atlanta.
Brady is paying a price for that. He was sacked three times and hit more than twice that many the week before in Denver.
Incredibly they also defeated the New England Patriots, 35-28, at Gillette Stadium.
Brady threw the ball into double coverage, off his back foot with pressure in his face.
“They didn’t call it that way so there’s no point in worrying about it now”, Ebner said. Bradford has thrown 11 touchdowns and 10 interceptions on the season but hasn’t thrown a pick since October 25 against Carolina.
It wasn’t a loss that will stop the Patriots from claiming their annual AFC East championship.
Special teams were also an issue.

As obscure as it was, it was not enough to lead the Patriots to victory, as they were defeated by the Eagles 35-28 resulting in their second straight defeat. The loss also drops the Patriots from the number one seed in the AFC all the way to the number three seed. Ajirotutu – remembering the Patriots pulled a similar trick when they led the Redskins early last month – and his “heightened awareness”, as he put it, fielded the onside kick cleanly, giving the Eagles good field position to set up their first touchdown.
