Buick revealed that it will start to sell the Envision SUV, made in China, in the United States in the summer of next year.

Please note that starting with April sales results, GM China began reporting retail sales rather than wholesales in China.
The Buick Envision will be making its debut in the United States January at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. “We are well positioned to achieve a strong finish to the year”.
Crossover models – the Encore and Enclave – already account for more than half of all U.S. Buick sales, and adding a midsize model should allow Buick to lure in shoppers who find the Encore too cramped and the Enclave too large.
General Motors Company (NYSE:GM) posted record sales in China for November.
Together, U.S. sales of the Encore and Enclave through November were up 16 percent at 117,200 from a year earlier. Buick launched the Verano Hatchback and Verano GS in November, strengthening the brand’s presence in China’s competitive premium mid-range passenger vehicle segment. GM has sold 3.1 million vehicles in China through 11 months, up 4.1% compared with the same period a year ago. Sales were down for the first ten months of the year which sparked concerns among analysts that the Chinese auto market may report the slowest growth among the major markets and that this tally would fall short of analysts’ expectations.
Baojun sales jumped 110 percent on an annual basis to 58,051 units in November.

The Envision-from-China announcement comes two weeks after GM’s US unionized plant workers ratified a new labor contract, but a GM spokesman said the company did not hold off on announcement of the China import because of negotiations with the United Auto Workers. Wuling brand sales also fell 10 percent to 121,451. All numbers references above represent retail sales.
