The affected vehicles were manufactured with doors that can remain unlatched with the door is in the “closed” position, without any indication to the driver that a latch is not secure.

Jaguar Land Rover issued two separate recalls this week, covering close to 66,000 recent Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, and LR4 sports utility vehicles combined.
The biggest recall involves 2013 to 2016 Range Rovers and 2014 to 2016 Range Rover Sport models.
In a filing with the United States National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the British automaker, owned by India’s Tata Motors, said that the problem is because of a software glitch in the keyless entry system. After receiving those notices, owners will be able to take their SUVs to a Land Rover dealership, where the keyless entry software will be updated at no charge.
The manufacturer says incorrect primer is to blame for the sinking sunroofs, causing the adhesive on the panoramic roof not to adhere to the roof assembly correctly. “This could increase the risk of a vehicle crash”. Land Rover’s LR4 models manufactured between August 15, 2012 and September 18, 2012 are also on the recall list.
Land Rover’s number for this recall is P065, and NHTSA’s is 15V386000.
