The Observatory said it was the first time that a strike from the US-led coalition, which has been bombing ISIL in Iraq and Syria for more than a year, had killed Syrian regime forces.

US President Barack Obama’s envoy to the US-led coalition that is targeting Islamic State denied on Monday that coalition warplanes had struck a Syrian army camp, after the Syrian government blamed it for the raid in Deir al Zor province.
The strikes “confirm once again that the American coalition lacks the seriousness and trust (needed) to fight terrorism in an effective way”, it said, according to SANA.
Col Warren said the nearest alliance airstrike on Sunday had hit an unmanned oil well head 34 miles southeast of the area where the Syrian troops were reportedly killed.
The city of Der el-Zour, where the strikes are said to have been carried out on Sunday, is mainly held by the Islamic State group, but the Syrian government maintains a presence in some parts of it.
Be Civil – It’s OK to have a difference in opinion but there’s no need to be a jerk. “That was the only area in Deir al-Zor we struck yesterday”, he told AFP.
The IS controls most of the province, including nearly all of its capital, Deir al-Zour.
The Syrian Foreign Ministry has filed an official protest with the UN Security Council regarding the US-led coalition’s airstrikes on Syrian troops, Syria’s SANA official news agency reported Monday. The province is believed to be held in large parts by “Islamic State”.
Another strike considered to have already been completed from the coalition in the city killed two of her kids and a girl, the Observatory said. However the arrival of additional Turkish forces on Friday sparked uproar in the Iraqi capital.

U.S.-led coalition raids in Syria have killed at least 32 IS group fighters on Sunday. The officials say that the mission is to train and advise the Iraqi forces in the effort to battle Islamic State militants and eventually take back Mosul.
