Eddie Lacy lands in Green Bay Packers’ doghouse

Yes, a Hail Mary is a “prayer” of a play.

ESPN’s Rob Demovsky reported that Lacy missed Wednesday night’s curfew in Detroit, leading to his removal from the game Thursday.

As punishment, Packers coach Mike McCarthy took away Lacy’s starting spot and gave it to Starks. That gave the Packers another play with time expired.

Aaron Rodgers said Adams was the target point for the pass. However, as the football hung up in the air for almost five seconds, Richard Rodgers drifted back from inside the Lions’ 20 toward the goal line and timed his jump perfectly in front of a host of Detroit defenders and teammates in the front of the end zone. While cloaked by cornerback Sam Shields, he leaped to catch Stafford’s 17-yard pass with two hands and squeezed the ball with only his right hand as he planted his right foot and dragged his left on the side of the end zone.

When Rodgers set himself and threw toward the end zone, two Detroit players were near opposite sidelines around their own 40-yard line.

The Lions’ defensive backs begin heading to the end zone, as well. Rodgers caught the ball at its highest point on its descent and secured it as he landed, touching off a wild celebration by the Packers. The two players at the 50 would guard against a short pass and lateral play, but in this situation it was unnecessary to have both of them there for two reasons.

The Packers have given the players the weekend off. They’ll return to work on Monday to start preparing for the Sunday, Dec. 13 game against the Dallas Cowboys at Lambeau Field. “That was one where you’re kind of looking for more of that pass back and forth kind of thing because of the range”.

“No one was around him”. With the Seahawks needing a touchdown and only eight seconds remaining, Russell Wilson heaved a pass from the 39-yard line.

Green Bay scored again with just over four minutes left in the quarter after forcing a turnover.

The Packers forced Detroit to punt on the next possession, but had to punt it back after Ezekiel Ansah had a sack on third down.

The Packers kept their comeback hopes alive when Aaron Rodgers converted a fourth-and-1 from their 25 on a 15-yard pass to Cobb.

Green Bay – As the Green Bay Packers head into the stretch run in 2015, they have a running back controversy. And finally, his quarterback placed the ball in the exact location needed for him to be able to complete this catch. And not only does Lacy appear overweight, he can add a missed curfew to the ankle and groin injuries that have marred his third season. They finished the last six games of the regular season 3-3, including an ugly-but-playoff-clinching 10-3 win in Week 17 over a Bears team openly admitting it had nothing to play for.

Rodgers was only in position to make and execute the game-winning Hail Mary throw – or “Scat Two Rebound Pass”, as it was called in the Packers huddle – after Lions defensive end Devin Taylor drew a facemask penalty. That call will be debated for some time, but one thing that cannot be disputed is that the final play of Thursday night was as entertaining as football can be.
