Nashville scores late to beat Bruins 3-2
Nashville tied the score at 1 with 24.9 seconds left in the opening period during a four-on-three power play. Carter Hutton stopped 15 shots. There were two fights – Boston right winger Tyler Randell bloodying Predators left winger Eric Nystrom in the second one – before the Bruins struck quickly on the power play at 10:53 of the period.

Arvidsson came flying down the left wing, circled around Miller and shifted around Gustavsson before firing the puck into the net for the tiebreaking score.
The Bruins jumped in front 4:13 into the first when Miller’s soft shot caromed off Nashville center Colton Sissons’ right skate and bounced over Hutton’s shoulder.
Roman Josi tied things up with 25 seconds to go in the first period on a 4-on-3 power play after taking a cross-ice pass from Mike Ribeiro, and scorching a one-time shot past Jonas Gustavsson.

The Nashville Predators started the season red hot but have cooled off substantially since as they sit in fifth in the Central division thanks to a 3-5-1 stretch over their last 10 contests. Boston D Adam McQuaid was doubtful with a sore wrist but played, while D Dennis Seidenberg and RW Jimmy Hayes (no goals in 12 games) were healthy scratches for the second straight game…. Boston C Patrice Bergeron got an assist on Eriksson’s goal, tying Milt Schmidt for 11th on the club’s scoring list with his 575th point. The Preds continue to thrive from their defense and goaltending but their offense has run dry this season after seemingly finding their groove last year and while we still have more than half of the year left it is a cause for concern for the Preds especially when they face off against teams that also have strong back ends.
