Cazorla to miss up to four months, Wenger reveals

Sanchez has flown back to Chile to rehab his injury with the national team’s doctor, and Wenger believes this will be a boost to the forward’s recovery.

In fact, the Frenchman even went so far as to suggest Sanchez’s fall into the TV camera pit “could have killed him”.

“When he was pushed into the boards on the side of the field that did not shock anybody”.

The Spain midfielder’s setback was the third injury blow to come from their stalemate at Carrow Road after Laurent Koscielny and Alexis Sancez were both forced off during last Sunday’s game.

“If you want to blame me with the injuries, I have no problem with it”.

“With my job, I am often stressed, so I might appear a bit like a constipated person”, he told Le Parisien.

“The doctor said: “Look, it’s a clear case, a rupture of the external ligaments” and Santi said: “Let’s do it straight away”. “You lose confidence in your body”.

Sanchez missed Arsenal’s game against Sunderland on Saturday with a hamstring injury he picked up a week ago at Norwich.

The manager, for instance, has lost seven Premier League games in a row against Arsenal and hasn’t tasted a triumph since May, 2010.

“But it is true [that I have a sense of humour], it is an aspect of my personality that people do not know about. I don’t like to push players who are reluctant to play games”.

Norwich declined to comment but it is understood the Premier League have written to them reminding them of their responsibilities.

2015-16 represented a season of great promise, as the Gunners have managed to put together the most talented squad that North London has seen in years, but a disappointing spell in recent weeks is threatening to derail their chances on multiple fronts again.

“It was never easy after the start we had but we have done well to come back into the position that we find ourselves in and it is in our hands – we know what we have to do”.

Arsenal surely should use Everton’s victory as the basis of their game plan and get the ball wide and then into the box for Olivier Giroud, who has a record of three goals and two assists in five games against Sunderland.

“We have slightly helped and relieved the situation, but we are still in deep, deep relegation trouble that we have to make sure we get out of as quickly as we possibly can”.
