Syrian President, Bashar Assad, said that the British airstrikes against the Islamic State in Syria are bound to fail.

The United States and its allies staged 20 air strikes concentrating on Islamic State in Syria and Iraq on Sunday, in accordance with the Combined Joint Task Force conducting the operations.

Two Typhoon FGR4ss and two Tornado GR4s returned to the Omar oil field – scene of the first bombing raids after Wednesday’s Commons vote authorising air strikes – where they carried out eight attacks using Paveway IV guided bombs. The Syrian forces have helped Russian Federation capture several IS regions since the nation began its air campaign on Sep. 30. He criticised Cameron’s claim that there were 70,000 Syrian rebels on the ground. Assad stated, “Let me be frank and blunt about this”.

Assad ridiculed the figure, called it “classical farce”. This is not acceptable. Where are the 70,000 moderates he is talking about?

“We have been able to push back ISIL from territory that we had taken, but in Iraq and Syria and we are developing partnerships – although they are not as strong as we want yet – with local tribes and Sunnis who are willing to fight ISIL”, Mr. Obama said. “This is a farce based on offering the public factoids instead of facts”, he added. Militants have captured large areas and proclaimed a Caliphate to rule over the Muslims.

It can be said that in the presence of a huge air force there is no need for an enormous number of ground troops to defeat Daesh, and the United States does not need to repeat its attempt to invade Iraq where the number of troops operating on the ground is between 100,000 to 150,000. You have to extract it. This kind of operation is like cutting out part of the cancer.

Meanwhile, Reuters said that Cameron opposes the type of government Assad is leading in Syria, where the more-than-four-year-old civil war has forced millions of refugees to flee the country. He shared that Britain is now pursuing a multifaceted approach, created to defeat the Islamic State.
