Syria is claiming warplanes from the US-led coalition killed three army
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights also attributed the strikes to the coalition, but US officials said Russians were responsible. Hours later, an unnamed U.S. military official – who reportedly spoke on condition on anonymity because he was not authorised to discuss the matter publicly – has said that the country is “certain” that Russian Federation conducted the airstrike, AP reported.

The strikes were carried out by 12 TU-22M3 Backfire bombers from Russia’s Mozdok military base in North Ossetia, officials said.
Coalition spokesman Colonel Steve Warren said there he had sign no evidence to support the Syrian government’s claims.
Col Warren said the nearest alliance airstrike on Sunday had hit an unmanned oil well head 34 miles southeast of the area where the Syrian troops were reportedly killed.
In recent weeks, the US-led alliance and Russian Federation have separately stepped up airstrikes on Islamic State-held areas in Syria in retaliation for deadly attacks claimed by the al-Qaeda splinter group in several parts of the world.
It would be the first time coalition warplanes had hit Syrian government forces.
The strikes “confirm once again that the American coalition lacks the seriousness and trust (needed) to fight terrorism in an effective way”, it said.
The ministry said three armored vehicles, four military cars, a weapons cache and ammunition had also been destroyed.
“The regime warplanes also attacked places in the neighborhood of al- Aridi in the city of Deir Ezzor and other areas in al-Tank oilfield in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor leading to kill some civilians while others wounded in al- Aridi neighborhood”.
However, member of the opposition Syrian National Coalition, Samir al-Nashar, said the conference had been postponed to Wednesday for further preparations.

On Monday, the Syrian government responded angrily to the alleged attack on its installation, and used the opportunity to criticize the US’s commitment to fighting the Islamic State.
The Syrian government has regularly criticised the US-led strikes as ineffective and illegal because they are not coordinated with regime forces.
But he said he would not be “drawn once more into a long and costly ground war in Iraq and Syria”, saying that was what IS sought.
“But Daesh is only present on the outskirts of the town, which is why all of the deaths were civilians”, Abdel Rahman said, using the Arabic acronym for Islamic State.
