While names such as Sony and Blackberry are facing decisive times, the markets of some phones have been dwindling but they still remain stable due to a few releases.
The LG Ray fills a gap in that market where good performance can be found on a 3G-only phone. LG has been trying to create a line of popular phones with various experiments but hasn’t been able to achieve much.
Have a look at the new LG Ray smartphone which has been aimed by the South Korean company at markets that have not yet caught onto to the 4G trend. The device sports a metallic design and a 5.5-inch display which showcases its visuals with a resolution of 720 x 1280p and a pixel density of 267ppi. The rear camera is better than expected thanks to a 13MP sensor with an LED flash while the selfie-snapper is listed at 8MP. There is 16GB of internal storage that can be expandable up to 32GB. It measures 9.3mm thick and weighs 158 grams. Connectivity options consist of Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, microUSB 2.0 and Bluetooth. The Ray also comes with LG’s signature button on the rear beneath the camera and its speaker grill on the bottom rear. Three colours are available – Gold, Silver and Titan Black – and users can choose between single SIM and dual SIM models.
However, the Gold and Titan Black variants will be arriving in January next year.

“Customers in 3G markets continue to be a priority for LG, so we will continue to develop new products with these consumers in mind”, Juno Cho, president and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company, said.
