OH man and possessor of solid priorities Jasen Dixon say he’s facing fines of $500 per day for the enormous zombie nativity scene in his front yard.
According to an online report by cbs12.com, Dixon says he was ordered to remove the display and has been told that he will be fined $500 per day if is not taken down. He put up undead Jesus, Mary and Joseph last Christmas, and after drumming up a tiiiiiny amount of controversy, was told by Sycamore Township officials this year that he needed a permit. He was also buoyed by supporters.
“GOD FROWNS UPON THIS MANGER SCENE”, the literature screamed, noting: “Jesus has supreme power over death and evil; he is not a zombie”.
‘It just rubs people the wrong way and it puts the spotlight on me. Speaking to a local TV news channel over the weekend, Dixon explained: “I got all the paperwork and how it was wrote out, and it says as long as it’s not over 200-square foot that I can have it without a permit, and it’s about 65-square foot”. “That’s why they’re coming down so hard on me”, Dixon said. One toy company created a toy manger set that included religious figures, like Jesus, Mary and one of the three wisemen, as zombies, according to The Blaze. Or so they said. An Arizona-based toy company recently announced that it would begin selling a zombie Nativity kit complete with an undead angel and donkey for the 2016 Christmas season.
Pope Francis has also said donkeys and cattle are a myth, too, The Telegraph reported.
