System Shock 3 Is Currently Being Teased
As discovered by a member of the RPG Codex forum, System Shock 3 was supposed to be the big reveal at the end of a countdown timer started on Otherside Entertainment’s website yesterday.

Otherside put up a page featuring the letter S and a countdown clock to some kind of revel.
About a month ago Night Dive Studios, the team behind System Shock Enhanced Edition, announced it was developing a remake of the cult sci fi RPG.
The game is being developed by Otherside Entertainment, which is the game development studio of Paul Neurath, the same guy who founded Looking Glass Studios i.e. the guys who originally launched the System Shock series.

Well, now that sequel is a reality, thanks to Otherside Entertainment. VG24/7 speculates that the game will most likely be crowdfunded. Night Dive recently picked up the rights to System Shock. It appears System Shock 3 is finally happening if this tease is to be believed. But if that’s the case then this System Shock 3 project might be little more than a name and pie-in-the-sky concept – an actual game may be miles and miles away. Apparently, they are also working on System Shock 3. It’s a small studio running on Kickstarter money raised to make Underworld Ascendant, a successor to the Ultima Underworld games. Not only does it work on modern machines at a higher 1024Ã-768 resolution, and support custom controls including mouse look, but it’s also available DRM-free through the the GOG gaming store.
