A Lansdale Christmas tree farm is taking part in an annual program that provides Christmas trees to the families of military members deployed overseas.

The trio announced their appearance on their Instagram account, saying they are “SO excited” to be performing at the ceremony. They get to spend time with the family, drink hot chocolate and select just the right tree for that year. Check any lights before putting them on the tree for any cracks in the insulation. Now, they sell about 3,500 trees each year and are experts on picking the flawless tree, loading it into any vehicle and avoiding a Clark Griswold kind of Christmas.
The first Christmas tree in America was in 1747 in Pennsylvania.

“I felt sandbagged. It was not on the agenda and when the mayor and I spoke about it a couple of days before, it was mentioned in passing, among other matters, and the impression was that this was going to be done next year”.
This year they expect to sell between 300 and 400 trees to people who often come back to them year after year.
A couple things are good indicators of freshness, and a lot of that is putting your hand on the branch and pushing it down and seeing how it reacts. We try to keep all the big trees back in the shade, but it’s been 80 degrees every day.
Even trees that have been well-watered and cared for will eventually stop absorbing water and start to dry out.

Before the tree is put into the stand you should make sure to cut about an inch off the bottom of the trunk. Give it a cooling-off period before you plant.

Visitors are provided with saws and other equipment to chop down their tree. The warmth of the fireplace will suck the moisture out of the tree and cause the needles to drop quicker.
