Though the company said on its official Twitter account that it is aware of users having loading issues, it provided no estimated time for when the problem would be resolved. The only notification was at 4:21 a.m. Tuesday.

In a tweet, Snapchat confessed that its users were suffering “issues”.

Many users were anxious the outage would upset their “streaks”.

Snapchat went down today and some people just couldn’t handle it. Fortunately, it’s up and running again.

The Snapchat problems are varied with some users not able to log in or view stories and other users not able to send Snaps.

Some users of Snapchat, the ephemeral messaging app, are reporting that they can not access the service with users in North America, Europe and Australia facing problems.

Is Snapchat not working for you?

According to a map produced by DownDetector, the Snapchat outage is being felt most in The Netherlands, as well as Southern England, Northern France and Norway.
