US says Syrians killed by Russian airstrike
The U.S. has said it was not a coalition strike, but Syria’s government accused the U.S.-led alliance of bombing the army camp and hitting troops loyal to President Bashar Assad. The Foreign Ministry also penned a letter to the United Nations secretary general and the Security Council demanding “urgent measures”, in response to the attack.

Syrian activists say at least 26 civilians, including children, have been killed in the north-east of the country by air strikes possibly carried out by the US-led coalition.
He said it was too early to say how long the process of assessing the credibility of the claims would take, noting “right now all we have is a statement that we’ve read in the newspapers, that’s not much to go on”.
The coalition began striking Islamic State’s Syria positions in September 2014, expanding its campaign from neighboring Iraq.
