Delhi government made changes in car formula
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said Saturday the measure would initially be introduced for only a few weeks, and could be withdrawn altogether if it proved problematic. For example, on January 1, cars with registration number ending with an odd number will ply.

“I think this is the bare minimum which we can do”, Thakur said of the scheme, which would allow private cars on the roads only on alternate days according to their licence plate numbers.
Meanwhile, a Steering Committee of the Delhi government held a meeting regarding the implementation of the odd-even number formula for the plying of private vehicles in the national capital.
The controversial odd-even rule constituted by Delhi government in order to curb pollution is being hotly debated everywhere.
The Kejriwal government has been at loggerheads with the government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on a host of issues though both are seemingly committed to cleaning up Delhi’s polluted air. Delhi air is very hard to survive and breathe. The court also said that living in the city was like “living in a gas chamber”.
But it has won accolades from many, including India’s top judge, who offered his support to the scheme by taking a bus to work, and environmentalists, who say pollution levels are reaching unsafe levels. The proposal will also have a checklist of all vehicles exempted from this rule.

Delhi’s two ministers, whose respective departments will play crucial roles in implementing the plan, differed with each other on whether or not the proposed ban would apply to two-wheelers. “They (the government) are yet to approach us for a reasonable discussion on the scheme, which is imperative for its implementation”, he said. People are suffering from many diseases like asthma and many more breathing disease.
