CNN poll shows majority favor ground war against ISIS
More say President George W. Bush’s policies are to blame for the current problems in Iraq than think Obama’s policies are to blame, with 42% saying Bush’s policies were at fault, 39% Obama’s.

The best example of this is President Obama’s utter failure to address the danger that ISIS presents to the United States.
“One of the ways that ISIS recruits and indoctrinates is through the internet and we should be launching an offensive cyber-attack against their online capabilities”, she said.
That was the broad consensus from observers from across political stripes after his rare televised address from the Oval Office.
Right now they are taking absolutely no responsibility for the war against ISIS, an utter abnegation of what US legislators are supposed to do.
In the poll conducted before the San Bernardino shooting last week, 53 percent said the USA should send ground troops to fight ISIS.
There is that “special operations targeting cell” that is going to go after ISIS leadership.
When American aid worker Peter Kassig was beheaded in November 2014, “Jihadi John”, the masked British terrorist who had appeared in many ISIS videos, said of Kassig, “We bury the first crusader in Dabiq, eagerly waiting for the rest of your armies to arrive”. Obama added: “We’ve stepped up our effort since the attacks in Paris”.
But Isis did not exist in 2001, and has been enemies with al-Qaeda (the group that committed 9/11) for years.
However, the President reminded the nation to not turn against one another by branding the fight as between “America and Islam”, since that was what ISIS wanted and also asserted that the terror outfit in no way represented Islam. “We’re working with Turkey to seal its border with Syria, and we are cooperating with Muslim majority countries, and with our Muslim communities here at home, to counter the vicious ideology that ISIL promotes online”, Obama said. They are thugs and killers.
Expressing confidence in the strategy against ISIS, the President said that the tactic was designed by top USA military commanders and counterterrorism experts, together with 65 countries as they keep evolving and examining their course of action in getting the job done.
There are just too many uncertainties for a Congress that doesn’t cope well with them. They know they can’t defeat us on the battlefield.
Also addressing not allowing those on the no fly list to purchase weapons, ban on access to assault weapons, and stressed not having a response based on fear. Obama told the American people what would be done to stop Isis but some congressional candidates on the Central Coast are calling for more aggressive action. But, make no mistake, what the president was proposing was war, with “thousands of air strikes against ISIL targets” and “special forces” and “an American-led coalition”.
“What the president needed to do tonight, but failed to do, is to articulate to the American people a new, clear strategy to defeat ISIS and protect our country and our allies from more terrorist attacks”.

Gergen responded as if Obama hadn’t already sent over a proposal: “I don’t think that’s necessary at this point, Wolf”. Now, if only the president would practice what he preaches.
