Sheriff Encourages ‘Good’ Guys to Stop ‘Bad’ Guys With Guns
Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey appeared in a video that calls on armed citizens to be ready to take on terrorists in active-shooter scenarios and that terrorists should be targeted instead of politicians being politically correct.

“So let there be no mistake in what I’m about to say”.
Ivey’s Facebook post has gone viral; in just 24 hours, the 6-minute video – a safety message originally intended for Brevard County residents – has been viewed more than 2 million times, over 3 times the county’s population.
“It needs to be said that we are going to stand up and unite together, and quite frankly, it’s not being said, and I think people are thirsty for a solution to this problem”, Ivey told News 6.
“And the whole narrative about materialization of the police should now be something we set aside and realize that this is the equipment of today”, Snyder said.
His video also has more than 20,000 comments on Facebook, with mostly positive responses, as it continues to spread on social media.
Ivey said he wants people to train themselves in how to handle a firearm so in an active shooter situation they can take an active role “until the cavalry can arrive”.
Ivey doesn’t believe the video could put more lives in danger by encouraging more citizens to carry guns.
It’s not only guns.

“There’s a Taser, there’s pepper spray. But you want to protect yourself and those in your business”, says Judd. They’re taking seriously the terrorist attack in San Bernardino, Calif., in which 14 Americans were killed and 21 injured when two radical Islamic terrorists entered a holiday celebration and opened fire with semi-automatic weapons.
