Trump comments on Muslims ‘wrong’: British government

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump made waves Monday during a rally in SC after he released a statement calling for the “total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States”, and then doubled down on the controversial position, which was widely condemned by fellow Republicans. It said the proposal comes in response to a level of hatred among “large segments of the Muslim population” toward Americans.

Earnest said that the leading Republican candidate’s call to ban Muslims from entering the country should render Trump, and anyone who has vowed to eventually support him should he become the GOP nominee, unfit for the presidency.

Trump announced the proposal Monday, in the aftermath of last week’s mass shooting in San Bernardino, California, that was linked to the Islamic State terrorist group. You should be afraid of the other side.

MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” panel gave Donald Trump a tough interview Tuesday, but after the interview, host Joe Scarborough praised the Republican candidate for remaining on the phone for more than 35 minutes. Ted Cruz said. “I’ve introduced legislation in the Senate that would put in place a three-year moratorium on refugees coming from countries where ISIS or al-Qaida control a substantial amount of territory”.

There is no way that Donald Trump will be the next president of the United States.

It is contrary to USA national security interest, Earnest said adding that Trump’s remarks are not only offensive but also undermines the values of the country.

Several of Mr Trump’s Republican rivals have piled criticism on the proposal, including Jeb Bush who suggested the tycoon was “unhinged”.

After saying he didn’t have any updates about the president’s schedule, he pivoted to a dig, comparing the Trump campaign to a “carnival barker”.

“I’m making us look strong”, said Trump.

“We’re not talking about internment”.

“Crime has been falling steadily both in London and in NY – and the only reason I wouldn’t go to some parts of NY is the real risk of meeting Donald Trump”, Johnson said. “And right now, the current trajectory is not very good”, he said referring to the statement by Paul Ryan, speaker of the House of Representatives, that he would vote for Trump if he wins the party’s nomination.

One Muslim-American leader says Trumps comments sound like something the leader of a lynch mob would say. The Grand Old Party (GOP) frontrunner has said they he would “absolutely” create a database of Muslims in the United States and that he would monitor mosques because they are “hotspots”.
